Is there internet access in the rooms?
Yes, we provide free superfast fibre wi-fi covering all guest rooms, the lounge and the outside Loch View seating area.
For the benefit of all of our guests, we do ask that the volume is switched off when laptop computers or hand held devices are used in public areas.
Do you take Debit or Credit cards?
Yes, but there is a £2 administration fee for all card transactions and we accept American Express cards.
Do we ask for Deposits?
We do not usually request a deposit, preferring to ask for a credit or debit card guarantee. We take no money at the time of booking, leaving you to settle your bill on departure. Sadly very occasionally, there are some guests who simply don't turn up for their booking. In the event of this happening, we have no choice but to charge the full cost of your stay to the card number that you give us to confirm your booking. We will, of course, send you a full set of documentation to allow you to reclaim the sums from your chosen travel insurance company.
What if I need to cancel?
If you need to cancel your reservation within 14 days of the confirmed date of arrival there will be a cancellation charge of 100% of the first nights stay, charged to the card number that you give us to confirm your booking. Cancellations more than 14 days prior, will not incur a cancellation charge. Cancellations within 24 hours of arrival, or in the case of a no-show, the full cost of your stay will be charged. We will, of course, send you a full set of documentation to allow you to reclaim the sums from your chosen travel insurance company.
What are the check in and check out times?
Our normal check in time is between 4 pm and 7pm. Please contact us to discuss check in if your arrival time is not within these hours.
We ask our guests to vacate their room by 10.00 am on your day of departure.
What time is breakfast?
We serve breakfast between 8.00am & 9.00am on Monday to Sunday.
Do you cater for Special Diets?
We pride ourselves on catering for our guests who have food allergies, ensuring that they enjoy their meals during their stays with us.
Under the new EU Regulations, we are required to formally advise you that all our food is prepared in a kitchen where nuts, gluten and other allergens are present and that the descriptions of the dishes on our menus do not include all ingredients.
If you do have a food allergy, please mention this to us when you make your booking and we will try to adjust our menu to take account of your dietary needs, ensuring that you enjoy your meal.
We will be able to tell you if any dish contains one of the 14 allergens listed in the new Regulations. These include:
Gluten, Crustaceans, Molluscs, Fish, Peanuts, Lupin, Tree Nuts (such as Walnuts, Hazelnuts, Almonds) Soya, Eggs, Milk, Celery, Mustard, Sesame and Sulphur Dioxide.
We simply ask that you discuss these with us at the time you make your booking. We have a varied selection of dishes on our breakfast menu which normally covers most requests.
Can all three rooms be booked for exclusive use?
Yes, just check availabilty on the home page calendar, book your chosen dates and drop us an email to let us know.
Do we welcome smokers?
In line with legislation in Scotland we do not offer any facilities in the house for guests who wish to smoke, therefore guests can only smoke outside of the property. We are exploring options to provide a covered area for those guests who want to enjoy a cigarette, cigar or pipe smoke whenever they want, whatever the weather and we do provide ash trays in the grounds adjacent to the Loch View outdoor seating area.
Do you have a licence?
Sorry we do not. However the excellent and friendly bar at the Caberfeidh and Culag hotel are only a 5 minute walk away.
Do you have disabled facilities?
There are many forms of disability and we will happily discuss your individual requirements in advance, to see if we can accommodate you in comfort. We have car parking right outside of the front door and 2 spacious ground floor rooms both of which are en-suite for privacy.
