Frequently Asked Questions

What if I need to cancel?

Free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival. If you need to cancel your reservation within 14 days of arrival you will be charged the full amount of the booking. In the case of a no-show the full cost of your stay will be charged. We will of course send you a receipt to allow you to reclaim the money from your chosen travel insurance company.

Is there internet access in the rooms?

Yes, we provide free superfast fibre wi-fi covering all the guest rooms, the lounge and the outside Loch View seating area.

Do you take Debit or Credit cards?

Yes, and we accept American Express.

Can I take food into Tigh Na Sith to eat?

No, our guest house bedrooms and lounge don’t smell of stale food and we want to keep them that way, for you! Also to avoid the risk of spillages.

What are the check in and check out times?

Our check in time is between 16.00 and 18.00. We are unable to offer early check in, please let us know if you will be arriving after 18.00 so that we know to keep your room.

We ask you to vacate your room by 10.00 on your day of departure.

What time is breakfast?

We serve breakfast between 8.00am & 8.30am

If you do have a food allergy, please mention this to us when you make your booking and we will try to adjust our menu to take account of your dietary needs, ensuring that you enjoy your meal.

Can I hang around all day?

No, for us to have a little time to ourselves, refresh rooms, shop etc it’s customary in B&B’s to go out for the day, after all we have some of the most stunning scenery in Scotland. The house is closed between 11.00 and 16.00. Thank you for your understanding on this.

Do we have disabled facilities?

There are many forms of disability and we will happily discuss your individual requirements in advance, to see if we can accommodate you in comfort. We have car parking right outside of the front door and 2 ground floor rooms both of which are en-suite for privacy.

Can I park my car onsite?

Yes, we have ample parking but it is at your own risk and liabilty, Tigh Na Sith will not be responsible for any theft or damage incurred whilst parking on our premises, this includes all bikes.

Can I charge my electric car in Lochinver?

Yes, there are two 7kw-22kw type 2 fast chargers in the public car park next to Tigh Na Sith

Can I wash and dry clothing in the bedrooms?

No, please don’t wash clothes and then dry them on the radiator, over the shower or with the hair drier. If you have wet jackets, boots etc then please give them to us and we will do our best to dry them in our utility room.
